Professor. B.S., Bangladesh University, 1979; M.S., University of Wyoming, 1985; Ph.D., University of California, Davis, 1991. Dr. Ula provides expertise in electronic device simulation, VLSI design techniques, and semiconductor physics. Through this experience, we have one of the few programs in the country where junior electrical engineering students are doing designs using “industry standard” tools. Dr. Ula has presented papers in the VLSI design and simulation areas at national and international conferences. He has collaborative research projects with several universities and companies. Dr. Ula's research interests also include nanotechnology and open source computing platforms. He is a licensed amateur radio operator.
